About Dr David Pratt

Sunshine Regenerative is led by Dr David Pratt. Dr Pratt has over 25 years of experience as a doctor, with much of this experience gained in surgical disciplines.

Dr Pratt was born in England and attended medical school at University College London, where he carried out research in Anatomy and Developmental Neuroscience, taking the opportunity to work in a California Neurosurgical Unit in his final year.

In the UK he worked in Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery and General and Vascular Surgery. Along the way, a chance admission to his Orthopaedics Department put him in touch with a doctor from one of the UK’s top Rugby League Teams and he started to assist at the club on match days.

Eventually his passion for Sport resulted in his postgraduate training in Sports and Exercise Medicine, contributing to Men’s Health magazine and working as Team Doctor for the Scotland Under-19’s Football team amongst his other work in Sport.

His sense of adventure took him to New Zealand where he worked as a doctor in Auckland before coming to Australia ten years ago. Dr Pratt worked as a General Practitioner and emergency doctor in a rural facility in Queensland for eight years. During this time he also assisted a local private Orthopaedic Surgeon.

Dr Pratt is a Vocationally Registered General Practitioner, with a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), a specialist general practice qualification accredited by the Australian Medical Council. Dr Pratt has training in the use of Ultrasound for Musculoskeletal diagnosis and treatment.

Dr Pratt now lives on the beautiful Sunshine Coast with his wife and two children.
